Process Post: Deepening My Inquiry Project
I have chosen to do my inquiry project on the topic How can busy students use nutrition to improve their energy‚ focus‚ and performance during school‚ work‚ and sports?
To dig deeper‚ I searched for research on nutrition and exercise‚ fitting healthy habits into a busy schedule‚ and found an article on worksite nutrition and activity programs․ The next article is for employees rather than students․ However‚ routines and environments are relevant to health behaviors․ It talks about nutrition and physical activity programs that have a small positive impact on health․ The article again stresses information‚ behavior change and supportive environment for encouraging health-promoting behaviors․
This relates to my research question because students also have a busy life․ Juggling school‚ work‚ sports‚ homework‚ and a social life means it’s easy to skip meals‚ eat on the go‚ or eat things that aren’t healthy․ My initial research is helping to clarify that my question is probably not just about the question of ‘what foods are healthy’‚ but also how students can incorporate these practices into their daily lives․
I want to continue researching student-focused sources and look into how breakfast‚ the timing of calories‚ hydration‚ protein and balanced meals can impact energy and focus․ I may also look at sports nutrition because sports performance is part of the question․ I want to make this practical so I can create something that students can use to feel better and perform better even though they are busy․
This is the link to the article I am referencing if anyone is interested.
