Free Inquiry proposal
I am still figuring out what I want to do for my inquiry project․ I want to do something that is really applicable to my everyday life‚ and I think the best inquiry questions are the ones that I don’t already know the answer to․ I need space to investigate‚ to think about this‚ and to maybe come to a different conclusion․
One thought I’ve had is “How can busy students use nutrition to improve their energy, focus, and performance during school, work, and sports?” Student life can get busy fast‚ school‚ work‚ and sports often take over․ Food is one of the first things people stop paying attention to․ It would be interesting to learn how factors such as meal timing‚ hydration‚ caffeine‚ and quick-food options actually influence energy throughout the day․
Another question I’m considering is “How do iPhones affect focus and productivity?” This is relevant because phones are everywhere‚ and while they can be helpful tools‚ they also affect people’s ability to focus․ This could lead to some interesting research about habits‚ attention‚ and how students deal with mobile distractions․
My third idea is: How does students’ financial stress affect their mind? I think this is important because money is a real issue for a lot of students․ For example‚ I’d be interested in how rent‚ groceries‚ tuition‚ and working while in school inform a person’s motivation‚ focus‚ and well-being as they pursue their education․
I could start with these questions and narrow them down to a final version of my best questions through research and reflection on how I came to ask them in the first place․ As we get into this assignment i want to take time and show my learning through research and reflection following a similar style as the inquiry guides. So‚ by the end‚ I hope to have a topic that helps me to better understand a real problem that students deal with and maybe some practical strategies I can actually use․
